PRD supported LB Camden to develop a structured pathway that combined the disciplines of the HM Treasury five-part business case and the RIBA pathway to establish a logical progression pathway for development at a key site near Kings Cross.
Development of the presents a significant opportunity to work closely with the Greater London Authority (GLA) in order to deliver an innovative mixture of employment and housing, thus protecting the provision of vital employment space but also recognizing the pressing need for more housing in this central London location.
PRD deployed our expertise in structuring development and development ventures in order to support LB Camden to fully appreciate the opportunities available to it to use its land, planning powers and its abilities for direct investment and participation, in order to deliver controls and considerations into the pathway that would balance LB Camden’s desired control over the outcomes of development together with an approach that would attract the right types of market interest.
Further to this, because LB Camden and PRD identified that the input of the GLA would be essential to realise the full potential of this innovative development scheme, structured and progressing engagement with the GLA was established as a key work stream within the pathway.
PRD’s delivery-focused approach to supporting clients like LB Camden aims to ensure provide practical proposals that support the client team to develop the capacity to progress their development projects through to successful delivery.
