PRD undertook strategic review and development work to support LB Haringey to refresh its strategic approach to securing local socioeconomic outcomes from major developments in the borough.
Haringey faces an unprecedented period of investment and development activity, but historically, has not fully levered its ability and influence as a Local Planning Authority (or as an active stakeholder in development) with the aim of prioritising the creation of positive socioeconomic opportunities for local people and businesses that are generated by development activities in the borough.
PRD undertook a review of best practices in the market and drew upon PRD’s own experiences to appraise and propose a revised strategic approach for LB Haringey to secure socioeconomic benefit. This included a series of stakeholder engagements involving the Council Officers and key local delivery stakeholders to arrive at a collective consensus about the way best forward.
