PRD supported LB Lewisham to successfully scope, take to market and mobilise the Lewisham Construction Hub (LCH).

Using NHB funding and potentially other sources, LCH supports local people and businesses to directly participate in, benefit from and contribute to, the economic growth generated by development in the borough. LCH takes a principal focus on securing employment, training, learning and contracting opportunities aligned to local construction activity, but also aims to secure these types of opportunities from services contracts procured within Lewisham, where this is a sector skills overlap.

Following a Soft Market Testing exercise undertaken by PRD in Summer 2016 which generated significant market interest, PRD supported LB Lewisham to successfully procure delivery partners LCH under an OJEU procurement process. PRD has since supported LB Lewisham to mobilise the project, which has included setting in place robust governance and operational arrangements to facilitate an effective, partnered approach to delivering LCH.
