PRD and Regeneris Consulting were commissioned to develop a Socioeconomic Funding Strategy for the Old Oak Common and Park Royal Development Company (OPDC).
The OPDC spans the Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Brent and Ealing and isresponsible for regenerating 950 hectares including the common land area of Old Oak Common and the industrial Park Royal site. Plans are in place for the construction of 24,000 homes and the creation of 55,000 jobs, along with a HS2 and Crossrail station.
The Socioeconomic funding strategy will play a key role in supporting the OPDC to mobilise its emerging strategies for socioeconomic benefit by enabling the OPDC to identify and seek to secure funding through both mainstream and innovative funding channels, which will include domestic and European funding, as well as emerging opportunities such as the Apprenticeships Levy, business rate retention and private investment.
