Richard Ward is a Chartered Surveyor with almost 20 years’ experience in the retail market. He has advised a wide cross section of private investors, property companies, pension funds and Councils on their property assets on lettings, sales, acquisitions and asset management initiatives. Notable clients have included: M&G, Legal & General, CBRE Global Investors, Town Centre Securities PLC, Clearbell, Elmbridge Borough Council and The Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames.

He has also advised numerous retailers including Costa Coffee, Molton Brown, Fat Face, JD Sports, Laithwaites, Stylo Barratt and Sainsbury’s Local on acquisitions, disposals and developments.

Richard offers an in depth knowledge of the retail market from both an occupier and a landlord’s point of view, providing a valuable insight which has benefitted numerous clients over the years and aligns closely with PRD’s delivery-focused approach to supporting our clients.

PRD is currently supporting a number of cutting edge projects which aim to revitalise high streets and town centres through innovative, partnered approaches and public sector participation to deliver new uses, investment and vibrancy. As part of the PRD team, Richard has advised on retail matters for a Masterplan and Commercial Curation Strategy in Westminster, and also for town centre development initiatives in New Addington and South Norwood.
