Sam Franks
Regeneration Consultant
Sam is a Regeneration Consultant at PRD, having graduated with a Masters in Sustainable Urbanism from the Bartlett School of Planning at UCL in 2017. He is a highly skilled researcher and communicator and his areas of specialism include sustainable urban development, socio-economic research and stakeholder consultation.
Sam has previously worked at Savills in Planning and Development, where he worked on a variety of projects for individual landowners, estates and other private clients for residential, commercial and mixed-use development throughout West Sussex.
Since joining PRD, he has developed considerable experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of contexts for a number of public sector clients in London and beyond. Projects have included economic and commercial asset strategies, as well as studies around the skills economy in support of various Masterplanning and development proposals. This has involved commercial research and reporting, stakeholder consultation as well as strategic advice for asset management, underpinned by social value and inclusive economic development outcomes.
Most recently, as part of a multi-disciplinary consultant team, he has been advising the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in the expansion of its creative economy. Other recent and ongoing projects include supporting the Westway Trust in the formation of a Social Value strategy for its property assets, and working with Westminster City Council in the development of a commercial and community strategy linked to a 15-year mixed use masterplan for Church Street.
